  4. document that sought to ef-
  5. fectively halt Jewish immi-
  6. gration. In Jerusalem, the
  7. Etzel and Lehi groups
  8. planted bombs in several
  9. government buildings. The
  10. most famous of these is the
  11. explosion which blew off a
  12. wing of the King David Hotel -
  13. which housed the British 
  14. military headquarters - and 
  15. resulted in heavy casualties.
